FAQ

Most of what we've been asked, in one place. If yours isn't here, just email us.
What does "black tie" mean for a snowy mountain wedding?
Tuxedos, dark suits, long gowns, cocktail dresses, formal and fussy. Mountain-formal is welcome: fur coats, velvet jackets, capes, and shawls. If you're stuck, lean dark, rich and jewel toned.
Will it be cold?
Yes. In mid-February, Leavenworth features a classic winter wonderland climate. Expect chilly, crisp conditions with lingering snow and a mix of clouds and sunshine. Daily highs typically range from the mid-to-upper 40s, while overnight lows dip into the mid-to lower 20s. There is about a one-third chance of seeing light rain or snow on any given day.
Are kids invited?
We love your kids and they are welcome for the weekend. However, we've kept the ceremony and reception adults-only so all the parents and those 15 and over can have a night to dress up and celebrate.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Enthusiastically, yes! We'd love to have them.
What about dietary restrictions?
There's a free-text field on the RSVP — tell us anything (allergies, vegetarian, vegan, religious) and we will work with our caterer to accommodate.
Is there parking at the resort?
Yes, complimentary on-site parking. The lot is plowed and the path to the lobby is short and well-lit.
What if I can't drive in snow?
Take the train (Amtrak's Empire Builder stops in Leavenworth daily, arriving at 8:17 pm — plan for an evening arrival. It's beautiful this time of year).
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. All ceremony and reception spaces are wheelchair accessible, with paved paths between buildings (kept clear in winter). If you need anything specific, please let us know on the RSVP and we'll make sure it's sorted.
Are you doing a registry?
See the registry page for options. Your presence really is the only thing we'd genuinely call a gift.
What's the deal with "Stuttons United"?
Stoelk + Hutton = Stutton. Isn't it catchy? We thought so too.
